There is one classic novel that carries a deeper meaning throughout Leah and Elias’s story.
The main male character quotes from it more than once. It keeps resurfacing throughout These Tears in different ways, and its themes quietly mirror parts of their own story.
It also happens to be one of the author's favourite novels.
Which classic novel do you think it is?
Answer: Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (Modern Prometheus)
CLUE 1
Its author began writing it while still a teenager, after a challenge among friends to invent a ghost story.
CLUE 2
It was published in the early 19th century, and it partly followed literary trends of the time, especially the popularity of Gothic fiction and Romanticism.
CLUE 3
The story includes a long journey through the Alps, where the landscape becomes almost a character in its own right.
A standalone psychological thriller / dark captive romance set in the frozen wilderness of Norway.
